HERBAL ANTIBIOTIC
CHINESE NATIONAL AWARD FOR EXCELLENT PATENT HERB, 1989
HISTORY:
In China, this herb has been popularly used by Chinese clinics nationwide for treating infection.
USAGE:
For acute and chronic tonsillitis, throat and mouth infections and sores, laryngitis and pharyngitis. Anti bacterial and anti-infection. For people resistant to Penicillin, Streptomycin, Tetracycline, and Gentamicin. Also effective for infections such as kidney infection.
INGREDIENTS: Bing Ling Cao.
PRESENTATION: Tablets, 0.25 gm per tablet.
DIRECTIONS: 2 tablets, 4 if severe, 3 times a day.
LABORATORY TESTS:
1. Antimicrobial function; acts significantly against Staphylococcus aureu and Streptococcus, Pneumococcus, also against Bacillus dysenteriae and E.coli.

3. In vitro, suppresses growth of human esophageal cancer cell.
Toxic Test: No damage to bone marrow, liver or kidney. LD50=55.8+-5.7mg/kg in rats.
CLINICAL OBSERVATIONS:
1. 97 cases with acute tonsillitis treated: 70% of the patients recovered in two days (no pain, temperature and WBC count turned to normal), 96.9% of patients recovered in five days. Total cure rate was 98.9%. Patients with antibiotic resistance also cured with this remedy.
2. 50 cases with pharyngitis: after taking for three days, 45 cases were cured, 3 cases were improved, 2 cases were not improved. The cure rate was 90%.
3. Over a thousand cases with esophageal and stomach cancer were treated: tumors in 28% of the patients were smaller or stopped growing and their symptoms were in remission. Unlike other anti-cancer drugs, this remedy has no side effect to bone marrow and body immune function. Patients having long term treatment were able to stay in remission longer after chemotherapy.
